"Games
in the Classroom"
- how to plug your curriculum into classroom games that encourage
students to have fun while learning and retaining
information. Workshop will include templates, instruction on how to
make games, and of course fun game playing!
“Exploring Math in the Real World”
- An ideal way to blend real world problems with mathematical
concepts, both basic and advanced, is to incorporate NUMB3RS in your
high school mathematics classroom. NUMB3RS provides interesting
real world applications of mathematics including such topics as
probability and graphing. Also included will be several graphing
calculator activities to aide student exploration and synthesis of
algebraic concepts.
“Podcasting”
- Creating
a podcast allows students to share learning experiences. It provides
them with a world-wide audience that makes learning meaningful and
assessment authentic. Teachers can use the technology to provide
additional and revision material to students to download and review
at a time that suits them. The flexibility that such time-shifting
offers makes podcasting a valuable educational tool.

Classroom”
