Dodge Foundation Funding

We’ve just been notified by the Dodge Foundation that the Academy will not be funded for 2010-11 school year, as a part of their first funding cycle.

We’ve always been aware of the possible reality of this happening and we’ve spent much time seeking other funding sources. In fact, Dr. Dan has THREE appointments next week with other possible funding sources. We do know that the current economic situation is not helping us. We are optimistic that the Academy will continue next year, but, what changes need to be made are not apparent to us at this time.

We would welcome any suggestions you might have about meeting our challenge. Simply email us your suggestions and be fully aware that we continue strongly seeking other sources of support, of many varieties.

The Academy governance committees, and any other interested parties, are invited to attend a meeting on March 15, at EIRC, beginning at 7PM. The intention of this meeting is to brainstorm various and sundry approaches to the problem. We need to know if you are attending! Please RSVP by email as soon as possible.

You do not have to wait until this meeting to offer your suggestions.
